It is a story narrated in a way that will captivate us from the beginning by its magic, a frame in which love is the main protagonist, both, the love of a family and the love of a couple.. I felt that I needed to continue reading without stopping and I had not felt it since a long time ago, has been a wonderful discovery with which I enjoyed a lot, thanks Concepción to give me the opportunity of enjoying with your fantastic book.
It has “"something"” which trapped you and will make you to love the story, undoubtedly I give an excellent to “Tears of bread”.

I like the story a lot. It is very nice and it trapped you from the beginning. Progressively, you are going to be immersed by a new Universe, the Universe of the Guardians. It is written with an easy language but, at the same time, it is fragile and sentimental . I recommend it, I like it a lot.

“Tears of bread” It is a magical story, fresh, unique and wonderful which made me feel delighted, it has wonderful reflections about love, forgiveness, life and dreams. The message that the author gives us I found very important. For that reason, I recommend this book.

The story is very complete, there is a lot of drama, a lot of fantasy, fears, dreams, love… And for me one of the best messages that the book can convey is that the greatest “curse” it's fear and doubt, because they blind us and we are forced to make decisions that we do not like.”

“Para mí volver a tener un libro de Concepción Hernández entre mis manos es un auténtico regalo porque sé que adentrarme entre sus páginas va a suponer un viaje a esos mundos tan particulares que solo ella es capaz de crear. Si hay algo que me gusta de esta autora es precisamente eso: Concepción Hernández tiene un sello tan propio y tan original que sus libros solo podrían haber sido escritos por ella y eso me parece una auténtica maravilla, ¿no creéis?
Hace poco os hablaba por aquí de otras dos novelas de la autora: Alma y su casita de muñec(O)s y Buscadora de Abrazos. Con las dos disfruté muchísimo de sus historias y personajes, pero creo que la novela de la que hoy quiero hablaros ha sido, hasta ahora, la que más me ha gustado de Concepción Hernández. Y eso que, de verdad, se me hace difícil elegir tan solo una.
Lágrimas de pan transcurre en las orillas del río Xuello. Allí, en un enclave conocido como La Ribera, se sitúan tres pueblos a sus orillas: La Aldea, La Laguna y El Bosque. Tres pueblos preciosos y muy particulares. En El Bosque es donde Manuela tiene su negocio: un maravilloso hotelito rural que cuida con esmero y en el que mima y sana a sus clientes con amor. Y es que Manuela es una Guardiana del Amor. Las Guardianas son seres a medio camino entre los ángeles y los humanos. Todas tiene un don, cada uno diferente, que siempre tiene como propósito cuidar, amar y proteger al resto de humanos con los que conviven.
Manuela, una pelirroja espectacular, vive feliz en su hotel, arropada por su Ángel, que todas las noches la visita y protege. Con la ayuda de María y Ángela, Manuela lleva el hotel adelante. Un hotel al que los huéspedes siempre desean volver, ya no solo por la paz que allí se respira, sino por los excelentes guisos que Manuela adereza con las hierbas de su magnífico huerto.
En esa calma en la que transcurre su vida, la visita de un joven pondrá patas arribas la tranquilidad de Manuela. Un chico que transformará su vida en una locura que traerá a tres preciosas niñas a su vida: Marla, Berta y Candela. Tres nuevas Guardianas que tendrán una infancia feliz junto a su madre en el hotel. But nevertheless, el destino de estas ha sido truncado desde su nacimiento, algo que solo Manuela conoce y que la lleva a la más absoluta locura. Cuando Candela queda embarazada, Manuela trata de evitar que su hija dé a luz a toda costa, pues sabe que nada bueno puede salir de ahí. Pero Candela huye de El Bosque y se instala con Amelia en su panadería. Allí, entre olor a dulces y miedo, nace Linda Aurora. Una niña de quien todos se burlan por llevar un parche tapando su ojo derecho y a la que Candela trata de proteger. Una chica que huele a café, que se encuentra desorientada y confundida y que no es capaz de encontrar su lugar en el mundo debido a que su madre le ha negado la oportunidad de conocer su verdadero propósito vital.
Como veis, Lágrimas de pan es la saga familiar de estas Guardianas. Una historia repleta de mujeres fuertes que buscan su sentido en la vida. Una novela que habla del amor, del miedo, de la culpa y de las dudas. En ella están todas las emociones del ser humano retratadas a la perfección por Concepción Hernández a través de estas mujeres extraordinarias que nos enseñan que, lo más importante en esta vida, es encontrar y seguir nuestro propósito en el aquí y en el ahora.”
